Since we are already at home for lunch time, it's fairly easy to listen to an audio book while eating. Yesterday, we started Literature for Lunch !
I login to the state's online Virtual Library and then play a classic lit. audio book while we eat. Not difficult to do and we are enjoying the story. You can turn it off when everyone is finished or after your pre-set time.
If you don't know if your state has an online virtual library. Google it ! Example: Oklahoma online virtual library . You can also borrow from your local library, buy new and used on cd or cassette or record your own audio books. If you do this, have the kids help so later on it will be fun to listen to what they sounded like as kids.
